Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at PFHT

Enhance healthcare access as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at the Peterborough Family Health Team in Ontario. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.

This full-time, permanent position involves practicing within your full scope as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. You will engage in health assessments, diagnose and treat illnesses, and implement health promotion strategies. Your contributions will greatly impact the quality of life for patients in Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete health histories and physical examinations

• Diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries

• Screen for and manage chronic conditions

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests like X-rays and MRIs

• Prescribe medications under supervision

Requirements:

• Current RN registration in Extended Class

• Completion of Nurse Practitioner education program

• 3 to 5 years community health nursing experience

• Interest in supporting same-day clinics is a plus

• Commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration
