Registered Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse Role
Excel in your nursing career with Extendicare as a Registered Nurse at our newly opening Forest Trail Home in Peterborough, Ontario. This casual position offers a pathway to full-time or part-time work by Fall 2026.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will provide essential resident care, manage medications, and document care closely aligned with Extendicare’s standards. This role emphasizes care collaboration among health teams and responsiveness to resident needs, ensuring every resident receives exceptional attention and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure residents’ assessments and service plans are current

• Order and administer medications safely and effectively

• Oversee Unregulated Care Provider activities

• Lead nursing team assignments for optimal service delivery

• Address resident and family inquiries with professionalism

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse registration in Ontario

• Experience in long-term care or related fields

• Proficient in communication and patient care coordination

• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills

• Must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check
