Position: Nurse Practitioner Role Family Health
Advance your nursing career as a Nurse Practitioner with the Peterborough Family Health Team on a 1-year contract.

This role offers 30 hours per week to enhance the delivery of primary healthcare.
The ideal candidate will practice under the Standards of Practice set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, providing a range of services from health assessments to chronic illness management. Your expertise will help improve access to necessary healthcare for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive health assessments for patients

• Treat minor illnesses and monitor stable chronic conditions

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests like X-rays and ultrasounds

• Formulate medical diagnoses and prescribing medication

• Attend meetings contributing to team-based care delivery
Requirements:

• Active registration with the Nursing College in Ontario

• Completion of Nurse Practitioner specialized education

• 3-5 years experience in community health or primary care

• Flexibility for evening and weekend work
