Position: RPN BSO Support Role at Extendicare
Become the heart of care as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) BSO Lead at Extendicare in Peterborough, Ontario. This role emphasizes your skills in behavioral support and compassionate care for residents.

In this temporary full-time position, you'll be instrumental in managing care for residents with complex behavioral needs, showcasing your knowledge in mental health and dementia care. Your leadership will guide the personal care staff, ensuring safe and dignified care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize effective communication with residents and families

• Implement person-centered care strategies for residents

• Monitor and document residents’ behavioral progress

• Ensure care plans reflect up-to-date resident needs

• Liaise with external partners to enhance care quality

Requirements:

• RPN certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Background in dementia and behavioral health

• Flexibility to work varying hours

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Commitment to residents’ dignity in care delivery
