Nurse Practitioner Family Health Team

Enhance patient care as a Nurse Practitioner at Peterborough Family Health Team, working 30 hours weekly on a 6-month contract. Join a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality primary care services.

This contract role requires a comprehensive scope of practice consistent with the College of Nurses of Ontario. You will conduct health assessments, provide wellness care, and diagnose minor illnesses while managing stable chronic conditions. Collaboration is key, as this position includes consulting with physicians and prescribing necessary medications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive health histories and physical exams

• Provide wellness checks and health screenings

• Diagnose and manage minor injuries and illnesses

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging

• Monitor therapeutic interventions for chronic illnesses

Requirements:

• Current RN registration in the Extended Class

• Completion of Nurse Practitioner education program

• 3 to 5 years of community health nursing experience

• Willingness to attend evening and weekend shifts

• Strong commitment to patient-centered care
