Position: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Role
Join the Peterborough Family Health Team as a Nurse Practitioner in a supportive environment. This 6-month contract role focuses on enhancing access to primary care for patients through collaborative work.

As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you'll leverage your education and experience to deliver comprehensive patient care alongside family physicians. Your practice will encompass full health assessments, chronic illness management, and wellness screening, all aimed at improving patient outcomes. With a robust multidisciplinary team, you will also engage in health promotion strategies and consultation with physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations

• Diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries

• Monitor chronic illness and ongoing therapies

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary

• Precept Primary Care Nurse Practitioner students

Requirements:

• Current RN registration in the Extended Class

• Completion of Nurse Practitioner education program

• 3 to 5 years of community health nursing experience

Support patient wellness and community health through comprehensive care as a Nurse Practitioner at Peterborough Family Health Team.
