Position: Full-Time Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist
Location: Millbrook

Become a Full-Time Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist with Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada (VLRC) in Peterborough, Ontario. Improve lives by providing critical assessments and rehabilitation services for individuals with vision impairment.

This role focuses on empowering those with visual loss through comprehensive evaluations and training in assistive technologies. You will work alongside other health professionals, facilitating communication and access to essential resources. Furthermore, you will lead community awareness initiatives related to vision health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional assessments of clients' vision

• Educate clients on vision conditions and rehabilitation

• Provide hands-on training with various low vision aids

• Manage public inquiries about low vision services

• Guide community workshops on vision health topics

Requirements:

• Completed relevant health care degree

• Eligible for ACVREP certification acquisition

• Knowledge of low vision rehabilitation principles

• Strong commitment to client-centered approaches

• Good communication and data management skills
