As an Independent Nurse Practitioner, you will function autonomously, adhering to College of Nurses of Ontario standards and Extendicare policies. You will assess, diagnose, and treat residents with acute and chronic health conditions while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Ideal candidates demonstrate advanced critical thinking and strong communication skills in geriatric care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and evaluations

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care strategies

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests effectively

• Develop and manage individualized care plans

• Foster therapeutic relationships with residents and families

Requirements:

• Current Nurse Practitioner registration with CNO

• Master’s Degree with post-Master’s NP certificate

• Experience in primary care or gerontology preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Professional liability insurance required
