Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Contract

Enhance patient care as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with the Peterborough Family Health Team. This part-time, 6-month contract emphasizes teamwork in providing access to primary care services.

Working 30 hours per week, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, mental health clinicians, and social workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams

• Diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries

• Monitor and treat chronic illnesses continuously

• Prescribe medication based on patient health

• Document necessary statistical health information

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with Extended Class status in Ontario

• Completed Nurse Practitioner education program

• 3-5 years experience in community health nursing

• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings

• Commitment to COVID-19 vaccination advocacy
