Part-Time RN for Operating Room

Position: Part-Time RN for Operating Room at PRHC
Elevate your nursing career at Peterborough Regional Health Centre as a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room department. Deliver critical patient care in a dynamic surgical environment.

As an Operating Room RN, you will play a vital role in patient care, focusing on pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of surgical procedures. This position requires strong surgical skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in patient care. We welcome candidates with a post-graduate OR course or recent OR experience to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-operative assessments to ensure patient readiness

• Assist during surgeries, maintaining sterility and safety

• Evaluate patients post-operatively to monitor recovery

• Prepare the OR and ensure all instruments are ready

• Work closely with surgical teams to ensure seamless procedures

Requirements:

• Current RN license from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Post-graduate OR course or experience preferred

• BCLS certified

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to adapt in fast-paced settings
