Position: PRHC Operating Room Nurse Position
Become an vital part of the Operating Room team at Peterborough Regional Health Centre as a part-time Registered Nurse (RN). Provide essential surgical care in a well-respected hospital setting.

In this Registered Nurse position, you will engage in comprehensive patient care from pre-operative assessment through post-operative recovery. This role necessitates a clear understanding of OR protocols and equipment, ensuring each patient receives optimal support during their surgical journey. Ideal candidates will have a current RN license and OR experience, preferably with a post-graduate OR course.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients thoroughly prior to surgery

• Support surgical teams during procedures

• Monitor and evaluate post-surgical patient recovery

• Maintain equipment and OR protocols for safety

• Document patient care throughout the surgical process

Requirements:

• Valid RN certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Preferred recent OR experience and post-graduate OR training

• Current BCLS credentials

• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills

• Commitment to continuous education and professional growth
