Nurse Practitioner Position

Position: Contract Nurse Practitioner Position
Take on a rewarding Nurse Practitioner role with the Peterborough Family Health Team, focusing on primary care access and patient quality of life. This 6-month, part-time contract requires 30 hours weekly.

As part of a multidisciplinary group, you'll engage with physicians and other professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Your role includes conducting assessments, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and implementing health strategies. Deliver impactful, community-focused healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and examinations

• Treat minor illnesses and monitor chronic conditions

• Determine diagnostic needs and interpret related tests

• Develop wellness and health promotion programs

• Participate actively in team meetings and discussions

Requirements:

• Current RN registration with Extended Class in Ontario

• Completion of Nurse Practitioner educational program

• 3-5 years' experience in community-based health nursing

• Flexible to accommodate patient-centered care needs

• Advocate for COVID-19 vaccination among patients
