Donor Centre Nurse

Position: Donor Centre Nurse at Canadian Blood Services
Support the health community as a Donor Centre Nurse with Canadian Blood Services in Peterborough, Ontario. Facilitate blood collections and enhance donor experiences through your nursing expertise.

In this part-time role, you will be part of the Collections team working diligently to ensure safe blood and component collection. Your interactions with donors are vital for establishing trust and encouraging repeat donations. Effective communication and adherence to safety protocols will be key in this rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee donor registration and confidential screening

• Provide essential information to potential donors

• Conduct venipuncture and monitor for safety

• Maintain detailed records and compliance

• Set up for community mobile donation events

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse in good standing in Ontario

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred

• First Aid and CPR training is an asset

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook

• Bilingual abilities enhance donor interactions
