WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The RPN provides client care in accordance with the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario. As a member of the health care team, the RPN has a significant role in promoting health, preventing illness, and helping clients attain and maintain the highest level of health possible in situations in which a client’s condition is relatively stable, less complex and the outcomes of care are predictable.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario Recent experience in medical nursing preferred

Experience in Long-term home care is preferred

Current BCLSDemonstrated extensive knowledge working with individuals with various types of dementia, delirium, mental health concerns and addictions, and other neurological conditions, and those who experience a behaviour change

Enhanced knowledge of family and caregiver needs that can best be served by a behavioural support system

Training/knowledge of Gentle Persuasion Approach (GPA), P.I.E.C.E.S.
* TM, U-First!, Montessori for Dementia preferred or willingness to receive training

Current Medication Administration certificate and experience WHO YOU ARE:

Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
