Compensation: $25 to $37.50 per hour

As part of the Product Development team this role will support the development of new products for launch into the Canadian marketplace.

• Perform Bench Top and preparation and testing of new or existing products.
• Assist in the development of new products for launch into the Canadian marketplace
• Assist in the scale‑up and start up new products/sizes on existing equipment
• Development, routing and approval of specifications
• Work with vendors, purchasing and headquarters to qualify new ingredients.
• Participate in quality, product improvement and productivity initiatives
• Manage analytical testing and data collection for ingredient and nutritional information

• 3rd or 4th year student from Diploma or Degree program in Food Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent follow‑up and organizational skills required. Attention to detail extremely important. Ability to work under deadlines and multi‑task.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
• Ability to work cross functionally within Pepsi Co and with external vendors
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of projects, data and other matters relating to Pepsi Co business
• Good record keeping skills for ingredient and nutrition labelling.
• Familiarity with regulatory affairs guidelines would be a definite asset (Food and Drugs Act, Guide to Food Labelling including mandatory nutrition labelling regulations)
