Position Summary
A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.
What You'll Do- Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
- Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
- Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
- Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
- Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; prepares hot food merchandise and provides requested assistance.
- Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; prepares chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fills prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
- Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Follows proper procedures for;
Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.05.
