Director of Sales & Marketing
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue through effective management of catering sales. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for catering events.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that effectively showcase our hotel's group and catering offerings.
- Cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and industry influencers.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
- Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to showcase the hotel's facilities and services.
- Work closely with the events and catering teams to plan and execute successful events.
- Oversee the coordination of catering logistics, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Provide guidance on event design, menu selection, and other details to meet client expectations.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Utilize market insights to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven experience in hotel sales, with a focus on group bookings and catering events.
- Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
