Position: Full-Time Caseworker at County of Hastings
Location: Bancroft

Support individuals in achieving self-reliance as a Permanent Full-time Caseworker with the County of Hastings. Provide effective employment assistance and financial services at the Bancroft Sub-Office.

In this critical role, you will help clients in temporary financial need navigate towards sustainable employment. As a Caseworker, you will oversee an Ontario Works caseload, applying relevant legislation and directives. Your collaboration will guide individuals through employment and financial assistance, integrating stability supports into case management workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client assessments for eligibility and support

• Provide employment assistance activities tailored to client needs

• Process financial assistance through the SAMS system

• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance standards

• Contribute towards optimizing service outcomes and best practices

Requirements:

• University degree or diploma in Social Service Work

• Two years’ experience in a Social Services environment

• Strong knowledge of Ontario Works and related acts

• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills

• Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation
