Provide evidence-based maternity care as a Community Midwife in Peterborough, supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Work across varied community settings.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust seeks midwives passionate about holistic community care. You will provide antenatal and postnatal support, promote informed birth choices, and contribute to continuity of care. The work spans inner-city and rural environments, with a pro rata on-call commitment supporting homebirth services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide evidence-based antenatal and postnatal community care
- Support women choosing to birth at home
- Manage caseloads of birthing people and families
- Refer appropriately across maternity care pathways
- Contribute to pro rata homebirth on-call services
- Midwifery qualification and professional registration
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and practice
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to local and national guidance
- Interest in professional development opportunities
