Job Description: Sunset Athletics – Head Football Coach

Sunset High School seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as our Head Football Coach. A successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

• High ethical and professional standards.
• Strong desire to be a role model клиента for high school student athletes on and off the field.
• Commitment to academic excellence and achievement for all student‑athletes.
• Demonstrated ability to be a positive leader in an athletic program, developing and instructing young athletes academically, physically, and emotionally.
• Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders through various methods, including athletes, parents, families/staff, AD’s office and public relations.
• Experience with computer technology a plus, including Microsoft Office, G‑Suite and sport‑specific software: HUDL.
• Technical knowledge of schicken sport strategy, staff management, skill development, and coaching techniques.
• Previous experience managing a budget and organizing fundraisers to ensure the program and athletes have all the required items to be successful.

The Coach will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the high school program, including but not limited to:

• Formation of teams followed by implementation of program standards & culture.
• Organizing practices and communicating clear expectations and standards to players and other coaches.
• Tracking the academic progress of student athletes and facilitating necessary support to ensure their academic eligibility and long/SP this success.

The Coach reports directly to the High School Principal and Athletic Director.

Salary will be determined by experience and the BSD negotiated contract. Some responsibilities outside the season may provide additional compensation above the coaching stipend.

All newly hired coaches will need to complete the following prior to employment:

• First Aid Card industries.
• District Fingerprinting/Criminal Check.
• Completion of OSAA required certifications.
