The Nighttime Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assuming clinical leadership, administrative support and the coordination of patient care services in the absence of Administration and Department Directors, providing support to all aspects of the hospital through a supervisory role. The Clinical Supervisor provides direct nursing and administrative support for all clinical units to ensure continuity of patient care. In partnership with clinical leadership, physicians and unit staff, the Supervisor assures that the standards of nursing practice and the standards of performance are achieved.

The Supervisor promotes staff accountability to departmental and hospital policies, procedures and competencies.

This position is per diem nights

Qualifications Skills Behaviors Motivations Education Required

Bachelors or better.

Preferred

Masters or better.

Experience Required

Ability to deal effectively with people and to plan, organize, direct and evaluate the work of others.

Demonstrates clinical competence in area of nursing practice and managerial competence.

Preferred

2 years progressive nursing management experience.

Licenses & Certifications Required

Registered Nurse
