Overview
New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) is seeking a Process Engineer who is passionate about automating processes and solving complex manufacturing issues. The role is at the state-of-the-art machining facility in Peterborough, with one of the world’s most advanced CNC environments, supporting improvement in a highly collaborative setting.
As a Process Engineer you’ll work to drive process improvements, automation, and efficient manufacturing practices within a global precision machining company serving aerospace, defense, and medical sectors.
Base pay range$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of production and tooling processes for bearing assemblies and components. Analyze existing methods to identify, implement, and monitor improvements in productivity, quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share and apply best practices. Stay current with industry standards and trends to continuously enhance manufacturing processes.
- Support, coordinate, and actively participate in Kaizen events, applying LEAN principles and technologies while tracking and evaluating results.
- Manage multiple or large-scale projects, partnering with stakeholders at all levels to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Perform engineering calculations for heat treatment distortion, tolerances, and part basing using established standards, tables, and empirical data.
- Develop detailed process drawings with precise dimensional callouts, tolerances, and process-specific requirements.
- Design and document manufacturing routers and process sequences to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production.
- Proficient in technical and computer applications, including AutoCAD, Solid Works, MS Access, and Excel
- Experienced in blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation, and geometric tolerancing
