Registered Nurse; RN-Emergency Room; ER)(Nights

Overview

ER Registered Nurse in Peterborough, NH. The ER Registered Nurse is responsible for caring for patients in the emergency room. This role involves working independently while following nursing guidelines and hospital rules.

• Must be a graduate from a recognized nursing school.
• Must have a current nursing license for New Hampshire (NH).
• It is preferred to have two years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• Must have certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and it is recommended to have PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Needed experience in reading heart rhythms or dealing with basic heart problems.
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications are preferred.
• Must have experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• The hospital uses a system called Allscripts Paragon.
• Must be able to read vital signs and give injections or vaccinations.
• Must be ready to float to other areas if needed.

• Under general supervision, you will organize and evaluate nursing care for patients during a shift.
• You will work with other shifts to ensure good care for patients.
• You will keep good relationships with other departments.
• You will help in education and maintaining nursing records and policies.

• Two years of experience in the Emergency Department (preferred).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• PALS certification is required.
• Experience with Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia is required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school is required.
• Current NH RN license is required.
• No new graduates can apply.
