Position: Facilities Tech I

Facilities Tech I – River Mead Lifecare Community

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated full‑time Facilities Tech I to join our facilities team. As a Facilities Tech I, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the living environment for our residents. The position hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with some on‑call hours.

River Mead is a not‑for‑profit, full‑service Life Care Community located in picturesque Peterborough, New Hampshire. As a full‑service community, we offer various services and amenities to the residents we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance duties in all buildings, including preventive maintenance and repairs to mechanical systems.
  • Maintain grounds and perform seasonal responsibilities as directed.
  • Provide general carpentry skills, groundskeeping, mechanical work, and painting as needed.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • General working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, memos, and instruction manuals.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Strong communication skills with individuals of all ages, particularly seniors.
  • A valid NH driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Graduate of a technical school with a minimum of two years of related experience is preferred.
  • Must possess the general working knowledge and carpentry skills listed above.
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending instructions, short correspondence, memos, and instruction manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
  • A valid NH driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential.
