Peterborough Salary: £70,000-£75,000  benefits We are partnering with a well established business to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager. This is a key role within the finance team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial accounting, reporting and controls while leading a small team. There is a clear progression route, making it a strong opportunity for someone looking to step up in the near term.

The role will suit a technically strong accountant who enjoys being hands on, improving processes and working closely with both finance and non finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Lead and support a small financial accounting team Own the general ledger and month end close process Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments Support statutory accounts and manage the audit process Act as a key contact for auditors and external stakeholders Manage cash, treasury and intercompany activities Drive improvements across processes, controls and systems Support wider finance initiatives and team development Key Requirements Qualified accountant ACA ACCA or equivalent Strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting Experience in practice and or industry Comfortable working in a hands on, detail focused role Exposure to audit statutory reporting or group structures is beneficial Team player with a proactive can do approach About You You are a technically capable accountant who enjoys getting into the detail but also wants to progress.
