The Opportunity

As an Accounts Senior
, you'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful advice and exceptional client service. You'll work with businesses across a range of sectors, helping them navigate their accounting requirements while supporting the development of junior team members. What You'll Be Doing

As our Accounts Senior
, you'll be responsible for:

  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in accordance with FRS
    102 and UK accounting standards, together with the corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Assist with personal tax compliance matters and identify planning opportunities.
  • Review bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior team members.
  • Support clients with both general advice and software questions.
  • Manage budgets and deadlines across the business.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits as required.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
  • Mentor, train, and review the work of junior team members
What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • 3+ years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice.
  • ACCA or ACA qualified.
  • Hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
  • Strong experience in statutory accounts preparation, with a sound technical knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF and Pivot Tables.
  • Proficient in Sage, Xero, Quickbooks Online and Dext; experience with CCH is advantageous.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working across a variety of industry sectors would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills, both in person and over the telephone.
  • Organised, diligent and committed to delivering work efficiently while responding promptly to client requests.
  • A collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes positively to team success.
