We're recruiting an Accounts Manager for a growing accountancy practice in Peterborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with UK practice experience who wants to take a senior, client-facing role.

You'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing a combination of accounts, tax, planning and business advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage workflow, deadlines and staff allocations
• Manage a diverse portfolio of accountancy practice clients
• Build strong, long-term client relationships
• Understand client objectives and identify opportunities to add value
• Organise and attend client meetings
• Review and oversee annual accounts and tax returns
• Manage one-off advisory and planning projects
• Ensure work is accurate, compliant and delivered on time
• Review work completed by junior team members
• Coach and mentor junior accountants
• Work closely with Partners and Directors on client matters

About You

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
• Proven experience in a similar Accounts Manager / Client Manager role
• Strong UK accountancy practice experience
• Excellent knowledge of accounts and personal taxation
• Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles
• Audit experience advantageous but not essential
• Experience using accounts and tax software
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Commercially aware and confident providing advice
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
