Financial Controller

Overview

GALENT is recruiting for a Financial Controller role within a rapidly growing, PE‑backed renewable energy platform based in Peterborough. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the finance function and supporting the next phase of expansion. It is a highly visible position working closely with senior leadership and operational teams in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Leading the month‑end reporting process and producing accurate management accounts
• Developing and enhancing financial controls, governance and reporting frameworks
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting
• Supporting statutory reporting, audit processes and technical accounting matters
• Overseeing fixed asset accounting, project accounting and capital expenditure reporting
• Driving improvements in financial systems, automation and reporting processes
• Providing commercial insight and financial analysis to support business decisions
• Supporting multi‑entity reporting and consolidations across the group

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Previous Financial Controller experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience with in infrastructure, construction, utilities, renewable energy or other asset‑intensive environments
• Experience with project accounting and capital expenditure reporting
• Proven ability to improve systems, controls and reporting processes
  
  Strong commercial awareness and business partnering capability
• Hands‑on approach with the ability to thrive in a growing organisation

• Flexible hybrid working, typically operating on a three‑day office model following onboarding
• Initial support and integration period, with greater office collaboration encouraged during the first three months
• Accommodation support available for candidates traveling longer distances, including serviced apartments where required
• Excellent transport links, with Peterborough accessible from North London in approximately 45 minutes
