We're working with a well-established and welcoming accountancy practice in Benfleet that is looking to add a talented Accountant to its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working across a varied client portfolio and wants a role offering genuine responsibility, variety, and long-term stability. What You'll Be Doing As a key member of the team, you'll manage a broad range of accounting responsibilities while supporting clients across multiple sectors. Your duties will include:
Preparing year-end accounts, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss accounts Producing tax computations Preparing and submitting P11

Ds Processing payroll and associated reporting Managing CIS returns Working across leading accounting software including Xero, Quick Books and Sage Providing proactive support and advice to clients Building strong client relationships and responding to queries efficiently Supporting the wider team with accounting and compliance matters What We're Looking For We're keen to speak with experienced accounting professionals who have a strong background working within an accountancy practice environment.

You'll ideally have:
Previous experience within an accountancy practice Strong experience preparing year-end accounts Knowledge of payroll and CIS Experience using Xero, Quick Books and Sage Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication and client-facing abilities Qualifications We're open to candidates who are:
Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent), or Qualified by Experience (QBE) A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial due to the office-based nature of the role.
