Customer Order Management Administrator
Location:
Peterborough
Pay: £13.49 per hour
Tenure: 6 month temporary contract
Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week (minimum one day with the COM team) Additional attendance at workshops, audits and meetings as required
Role OverviewThis is a great entry level role. As the Customer Order Management Administrator you will provide essential non customer facing administrative support to the Customer Order Management (COM) team. The role will include processing customer orders, compiling export/shipping documentation, maintaining internal system data, performing data cleansing and producing standard reports to support accurate and timely order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities- Follow procedures to deliver timely administrative support (typing, filing, scanning).
- Under direct supervision, support the COM team with non customer facing tasks across all phases of the order life cycle.
- Process customer orders accurately and within required deadlines.
- Manually allocate parts to customer orders within the order management system.
- Compile and distribute export and shipping documentation to ensure timely order progression.
- Assist with data entry tasks such as new customer set ups, credit/debit administration and order related updates.
- Prepare and distribute standard internal reports.
- Perform data maintenance and cleansing to ensure accuracy (customer details, drop ships, pricing, aging orders, order holds/suspensions, codes).
- Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities to the Supervisor.
- Experience in order management or transferable administrative skills (desirable).
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
- Able to achieves targets, even under pressure.
