Relief Team - Records Supervisor - (Zero-hours contract) Hourly rate: £25 per hour plus holiday pay

Possible requirement for training in London, for which travel will be paid Williams Lea seeks a Records Assistant (Destruction project) to join our team! Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Records File Destruction Project:
    Collaborate with the project team to manage the destruction of files in accordance with established timelines, on-site at warehouse premises in Peterborough
  • Process Files for Destruction:
    Prepare files for destruction by ensuring that they meet the criteria specified within the project scope
  • Adapt to New Technologies:
    Learn and use new technologies, software, and systems to enhance productivity
  • Follow Internal Records Procedures:
    Ensure that all actions related to file destruction are performed in adherence to company policies, internal procedures, and legal requirements for document retention
  • Data Entry:
    Accurately input relevant data into the records management database, maintaining data integrity and consistent record-keeping
  • Adhere to Document Retention Policies:
    Follow company and legal retention policies, ensuring that only appropriate files are destroyed, and that data is stored correctly for the required time frames
  • Oversee day to day operations:
    Monitor daily progress and liaise with London based project team to discuss any issues through daily catch-up meetings. (

    Note:

    This does not include management of staff.)
  • Health, Safety and Security:
    Act as a designated keyholder for the warehouse, carrying out opening and closing procedures, and fulfil Fire Marshal and First Aid responsibilities as required (relevant training will be given)
Personal Attributes:
  • Experience in records management, office administration, or related field (preferred, but not essential)
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience of managing people
  • Experience of using Microsoft Excel and other office software
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents and dat.
  • Ability to efficiently manage workload and achieve daily operational targets
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable with learning new technologies and adapting to virtual tools
  • Knowledge of document retention policies and record-keeping procedures (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and team-orientated approach with the ability to collaborate across departments
