FMCG Jobs are delighted to be partnering with a leading Peterborough based wholesale business as they continue to scale. We’re on the lookout for a Commercial Manager to lead from the front, driving sales, aligning strategy across marketing and purchasing, and playing a key role in future growth.

What You'll Be Doing Sales Leadership
  • Set and execute sales strategy to grow revenue and market share
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to hit and exceed targets
  • Run regular tactical sales meetings (3–4 per week) to keep momentum high
  • Build strong customer partnerships and unlock new opportunities
  • Report key insights and results directly to senior leadership
Marketing & Brand
  • Oversee marketing campaigns that drive visibility and support sales
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the brand
  • Use insights from customer behaviour and market trends to refine messaging
Procurement Partnership
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to keep stock aligned with demand
  • Support negotiations with suppliers to improve pricing and profitability
What We're Looking For
  • 5–7+ years’ experience in a commercial or sales leadership role
  • A background in wholesale, FMCG, retail, or QSR is ideal
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Great commercial instincts – confident with data and decision‑making
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to align teams behind a common goal
Performance Will Be Measured By
  • Sales and revenue growth
  • New business and customer retention
  • Gross margin improvements
  • Inventory and stock alignment
  • Delivery against team KPIs
