Site Engineer

We are currently seeking a committed and proactive Site Engineer to join a residential housing development project in Peterborough. Due to an increased workload, the client requires an immediate addition to the team and is looking for a reliable, stable individual who can take full ownership of their responsibilities from day one.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for all on-site setting out duties, supporting the delivery of infrastructure and groundwork packages across the development.

Key Responsibilities

* Setting out for drainage works

* Setting out for hard and soft landscaping

* Producing and managing RFI submissions

* Liaising with site management and subcontractors

* Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in accordance with design information

* Using Field View for site documentation, reporting, and quality assurance

* Supporting as-built records and site QA processes

Required Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on residential or similar construction projects

* Strong competency in AutoCAD (essential)

* Experience using Field View or similar construction management software

* Confident setting out ability across drainage, infrastructure, and landscaping works

* Experience raising, tracking, and managing RFIs effectively

* Comfortable using a laptop for site-based engineering and documentation tasks

Certifications & Requirements

* Valid CSCS card required

* Strong understanding of CSCS standards and site compliance requirements

* Proactive, self-sufficient working style

* Reliable and consistent approach, with a preference for long-term commitment
