They are currently seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Eastern regional team on a flagship c £20m New Build Education project. Working alongside an experienced Senior QS, this role offers hands-on experience on a major site and a clear trajectory for career progression.

Duties & Responsibilities

Working as part of an established on-site commercial team, you will support and take ownership of key daily functions, including:

Assisting with sub-contractor enquiries, package procurement, and tender analysis.
Conducting on-site measurement, site visits, and valuations of ongoing work.
Helping manage package variations, cost reporting, and financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Assisting with the agreement of final accounts and sub-contract payments.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

Experience:

1+ years of commercial experience within a Main Contractor environment would be advantageous, however candidates completing their Education or part-way through an Apprenticeship would be considered.

Education:

Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction management qualification (or working towards one). Candidates part-way through their degree qualification will also be considered.

Skills:

Good numerical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
Background:
Currently working as a Trainee QS, Assistant QS, Apprentice QS or a Graduate QS looking to take the next step on a major regional project.
