Your new companyA well-established contractor with a strong history in the sector, with offices across the East and Midlands and projects throughout the UK. They operate across a number of sectors including new build, fit out, maintenance and building services.

Your new role Reporting to a senior leadership team member, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple construction and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.
Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients and consultants, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and to agreed programme and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects through all stages of delivery, from pre-construction to completion
Manage and support Site Managers, Supervisors, Assistant Project Managers, Trainee Project Managers and direct trades operatives
Take responsibility for project performance, profitability and compliance
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documentation
Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders throughout delivery
Manage specialist and nominated subcontractors
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations Attend and chair project meetings as required
Prepare progress reports, programmes and contractor reports
Price and agree project variations and instructions
Prepare valuations and contribute to final accounts
Assist in the preparation of tenders and estimates where required
Monitor project costs and profitability
Coordinate procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials
Approve supplier and subcontractor invoices
Undertake additional responsibilities in line with business requirements and career progression
What you'll need to succeed
Construction-related qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience)
Demonstrable project management experience within the construction sector
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery
Experience working on commercial and/or design and build projects
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project management software
Full UK driving licenceSMSTS or SSSTS certification (desirable)
First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
