Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Consultancy) - Utilities Sector

The project:

The project is based in Peterborough and successful candidate is required on site/ with client 2 to 3 days a week. To provide commercial support to the NEC PM/Commercial Lead regarding the administration of potentially 30 to 50 Water Storage Point projects. To ensure that all procurement (1st and 2nd tier) and contract administration activities are completed in a timely manner as not to disrupt the delivery of the programmed works

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams from concept through to construction.
  • Ensuring client requirements, project objectives and design standards are achieved.
  • Managing design risk, interfaces, approvals and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborating with commercial, procurement, programme and construction teams to drive integrated project delivery.
  • Monitoring design progress, performance and key deliverables.
  • Supporting innovation, BIM and digital delivery initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with governance, statutory and quality requirements.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Strong NEC4 PSC commercial management experience.
  • Strong background in infrastructure, water sector or major programmes.
  • Knowledge of cost management, CE assessment, defined cost and fee mechanisms.
  • Experience with in consultancy environments.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong contractual and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative and able to operate in fast‑paced programme environments.
  • Degree or master’s in quantity surveying, Commercial Management, or similar.
  • Professional membership: RICS, CICES, CIArb or equivalent (preferred)
  • NEC4 accredited or trained (highly desirable)
