Our Client has a requirement for an Assistant Site Manager, who will be required to work on a Permanent basis in Peterborough.

Role

Purpose:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate multiple construction activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support the development of site operations while gaining experience toward a Site Manager position.
  • Deputise for the Site Manager when required.
  • Drive performance, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement across projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support Site Managers and operational teams in achieving project objectives.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of construction activities.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Assist in the management and coordination of site resources.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture on site.
  • Develop strong working relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Encourage collaboration, inclusion, and diverse perspectives across site operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Deputise for the Site Manager when required.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge /

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or equivalent on medium-sized construction projects.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Health & Safety and/or First Aid at Work qualifications.
  • Programme and resource management experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
