Job Overview

Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised appropriately
- Provide excellent patient care, offering reassurance and support throughout treatment
- Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times, including managing patient records and updating treatment notes accurately
- Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilisation in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Organise appointment schedules efficiently to optimise clinic workflow
- Manage administrative tasks such as answering queries, updating patient records, and handling correspondence
- Support with the procurement of dental supplies and stock management
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and suppliers using clear English language skills
- Utilise IT systems for record keeping, appointment booking, and other administrative functions
Qualifications
- recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent)
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting is desirable but not essential for newly qualified candidates willing to learn on the job
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good IT literacy to manage digital records and appointment systems
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
