Senior Architectural Technician

An established and growing architectural practice is looking to appoint a Senior Architectural Technologist to join its technical team at its studio near peterborough.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of high-quality private residential projects, including both new-build and heritage-focused schemes, within a collaborative studio environment. The practice is well-regarded for its technical delivery and design-led approach, with a steady pipeline of work across the region.

You'll be involved in the technical delivery of projects from early design stages through to construction, working closely with architects, consultants, clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities include:

• Interpreting client briefs and contributing to technical design solutions

• Producing detailed construction drawings in line with current UK Building Regulations

• Coordinating and progressing technical details through planning and approval stages

• Preparing technical information, specifications, and schedules

• Managing drawing information and documentation

• Liaising with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and clients throughout delivery

The successful candidate will be technically strong, well organised, and comfortable managing their own workload within a team setting.

Key requirements:

• Qualification in Architectural Technology (HNC / HND / Degree)

• 5+ years' experience within an architectural practice

• Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, particularly within residential projects

• Experience producing detailed construction packages

• Proficiency in AutoCAD

• Good communication and time-management skills

• On-site experience preferred

• Full UK driving licence

• A stable role within a growing practice
