Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing precise technical drawings, models, and schematics that support architectural projects from conception through to completion.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of CAD software and construction knowledge, contributing to innovative building designs and infrastructure projects. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to advance their career within the architecture and construction industries. Responsibilities Prepare detailed architectural drawings, models, and schematics using CAD programmes such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and Solid Works.
Develop 3D visualisations and models with Sketch Up, Navis Works, and Civil 3D to support project presentations and planning. Assist in creating construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed technical drawings. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance with regulations. Review project specifications and ensure drawings meet client requirements and industry standards.
Support site visits by providing technical assistance and ensuring drawings reflect on-site conditions accurately. Maintain organised digital files of all project documentation for easy access and version control. Experience Proven experience in architectural drafting or technical support within a professional environment. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, Solid Works, Schematics, Civil 3D, Navis Works, and Sketch Up is essential.
Knowledge of construction processes and experience working on building or infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with civil engineering principles and construction documentation standards. Ability to interpret architectural plans and technical specifications accurately. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
