Service Youth Connections Worker

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Service Youth Connections Worker to devise and deliver bespoke youth programmes within secondary schools across Lincolnshire, Rutland and Cambridgeshire. This is a stand‑alone role with a clear focus on improving resilience, wellbeing and social connections for young people from Armed Forces families through high‑quality, needs‑led youth work.
Working closely with schools, RAF Wittering and partner organisations, you will plan and deliver engaging programmes that combine social activities, mentoring, peer‑led discussion, team‑building and wellness activities, all delivered within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver tailored youth programmes within secondary schools that support service‑connected young people to build resilience, confidence and positive relationships
- Work collaboratively with schools, RAF Wittering, Station Youth Workers and other partners to ensure provision is responsive to need
- Involve young people in shaping activities and decision‑making, promoting youth voice and participation
- Monitor and evaluate programmes, gathering feedback to inform continuous improvement and evidence impact
- Attend relevant meetings and forums, including quarterly schools’ forums, and provide updates, case studies and progress against targets
- Produce regular reports to support monitoring, learning and accountability
- Experience of working with children and young people, ideally within a youth work, education or community setting
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with confidence working collaboratively with schools, partners and young people
- Experience of facilitating group sessions, discussions or activities and encouraging participation and youth voice
22 hours per week, term time only - 39 weeks (days and hours to be agreed but mostly during school hours)
ContractFixed term contract September 2026 – July 2027
Salary£15,071.23
