Point 12 (FTE £28,598 per year, approx. £21,486 pro-rata)

Working 32.5 hours, 39 weeks per year – Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HLTA to join our team. The purpose of this role is to support teaching and learning across the school, covering classes as timetabled and on an ad‑hoc basis when required.

Accountabilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary phase.
• Cover classes as scheduled and on an ad‑hoc basis.
• Assist with curriculum delivery using supported programmes (e.g., Sounds Write phonics, Complete Maths, PKC).
• Work cooperatively with colleagues, parents and pupils.
• Protect and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

About You

• Experience working across the primary age range.
• Experience in a TA or HLTA role.
• Experience covering classes.
• Knowledge of Sounds Write phonics, Complete Maths and PKC.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education.
• Highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload.
• Strong communication skills with colleagues, parents and pupils.
• ‘Can‑do’ attitude and ability to use initiative.
• Ability to work flexibly and professionally.
