Mathematics Teacher

About the role:

Justteachers are currently recruiting for a Mathematics teacher to work within one of our partner secondary schools based near Huntingdon starting from September 2026. The role is a full-time teaching position on a supply basis with the view to go permanent after an initial probationary period.

The school’s ethos centres around creating confident well-rounded students ready for the ‘real world’ and achieves this through opportunities to lead, organise and take part in sport, arts and other areas creative areas such as science and languages. Additionally, the community are at the heart of everything they do with a strong adult education offer and community volunteering programme for students’ participation.

• To teach challenging and enjoyable lessons across all key stages (KS3-4)
• Establishing clear behaviour expectations and maintaining classroom discipline.
• Creating an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment where all students feel valued and can thrive.
• Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions.
• Using formative and summative assessments to evaluate students’ progress and inform future teaching.
• Encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study

• Has Qualified Teacher Status and a good educational background including a good Honours Degree or equivalent.
• Can evidence both curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
• Understands and is committed to teaching standards.
• Has high personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality and organising workload.
• Is an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills
