Teaching experience is welcomed but not essential. If you have relevant industry experience and a desire to develop others, we will support you in gaining a teaching qualification while you build your career in education.

What you'll be doing

You’ll deliver engaging and inspiring learning experiences to students from Level 1 through to Higher Education Level 6, helping them develop both their creative practice and professional skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning engaging lessons and developing creative learning resources
  • Supporting students to achieve their full potential through effective feedback and target setting
  • Encouraging experimentation, creativity and professional practice
  • Monitoring learner progress and implementing support where required
  • Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement
  • Participating in student recruitment events, exhibitions and open evenings
  • Embedding digital technologies and contemporary creative practices into teaching
  • Supporting learners with progression into higher education and creative careers
What we're looking for

We’d love to hear from candidates who have:

  • Industry experience within Art & Design or a related creative discipline
  • A relevant qualification in Art, Design or a creative subject
  • A passion for developing and inspiring young people
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to engage learners of varying abilities and backgrounds
  • A creative, innovative and collaborative approach

A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent) is desirable, however candidates with strong industry experience who are willing to work towards a teaching qualification are encouraged to apply.

Experience delivering BTEC or Higher Education programmes would be advantageous but is not essential.
