Are you passionate about inclusive education and ready to lead a team that makes a real difference every day? We're looking for an inspiring and motivated ALS Team Leader to join our Additional Learning Support team at Peterborough College. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a dedicated team of Learning Support Workers, ensuring students with additional learning needs receive the high-quality support they need to thrive, achieve their ambitions and become as independent as possible.

Working closely with curriculum teams, managers and SEND colleagues, you'll play a key role in embedding inclusive practice across the college, supporting staff development and driving continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to influence how support is delivered, champion learner independence and contribute to outstanding outcomes for students. What you'll be doing as a Team Leader:
Leading, motivating and developing a team of Learning Support Workers. Coordinating staffing and timetables to ensure effective support across curriculum areas. Working collaboratively with curriculum leaders to embed inclusive teaching practices. Supporting the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and risk assessments. Monitoring the quality and impact of support through observations, coaching and regular feedback. Using data to monitor learner progress, funding compliance and quality assurance.

Delivering training and sharing best practice to develop colleagues across the college. Ensuring students receive high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence and success. We're looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting learners with additional learning needs and disabilities. Has experience leading or supervising staff within an education or support environment. Is passionate about inclusive education and removing barriers to learning. Can build positive relationships with staff, students and external partners. Is highly organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities. Has excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills. Understands current SEND legislation and inclusive practice, or is keen to continue developing their expertise.
