SEN Teaching Assistant

At Vision for Education, we are currently seeking an experienced professional to work as an SEN Teaching Assistant in primary schools throughout Peterborough.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Start Date:

September 2026

Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant you will support children aged 2–11 with a range of complex needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.

• Provide one‑to‑one and small group support
• Aide communication and classroom engagement
• Support mobility and physical needs
• Deliver personal care respectfully and sensitively
• Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to provide a nurturing environment

• Experience working with children, especially those with additional needs
• A compassionate and resilient nature
• Confidence in providing personal care when required
• Ability to commit to the school’s full‑time hours
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• References, proof of right to work and address available
