Are you a qualified Specialist Assessor looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to students' educational journeys? We're looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic SEND EAA Specialist Assessor to join our growing Additional Learning Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your specialist assessment expertise with teaching and learner support, helping students with SEND overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Based at Peterborough College, with occasional travel to Stamford College, you'll play a key role in identifying and assessing students for Exam Access Arrangements, while also delivering high-quality teaching and specialist support to learners with additional needs. You'll work alongside experienced SEND professionals in a collaborative environment that values inclusion, innovation and student success. This role is part time (30 hours per week) during term time only (40 weeks per year).

What you'll be doing as a SEND Assessor:
Conducting specialist assessments for Exam Access Arrangements in line with JCQ regulations. Completing assessment reports and documentation, including Form 8 and supporting evidence. Reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), support plans and learner information to ensure appropriate arrangements are identified. Delivering engaging teaching and specialist support to students through one-to-one, small group and classroom sessions. Supporting students to develop effective study skills, confidence and independence.

Advising teaching staff on practical strategies to remove barriers to learning and promote inclusive practice. Delivering training and sharing specialist knowledge with colleagues. Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to quality assurance and funding requirements. We're looking for someone who:
Holds a recognised Specialist Assessor qualification for Exam Access Arrangements, such as a TAQA qualification with EAA or an equivalent qualification. Has experience carrying out specialist assessments and producing high-quality assessment reports. Is passionate about supporting students with SEND to achieve their potential. Has experience delivering teaching or specialist support to young people or adults. Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and external professionals.
