Peterborough – 28 hours per week

This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same. From coordinating Course Representative elections and delivering training to facilitating University Feedback Forums and supporting student-led campaigns, you'll be at the heart of our democratic processes.

You'll work closely with Volunteer Student Leads, Course Representatives, and elected Officers, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and resources to represent their peers effectively. You'll also build strong relationships with academic staff and University senior leaders, acting as a bridge between students and the institution.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Organise and promote Course Representative and Student Leader elections, including in-class elections and campus ballot stations
  • Deliver training and development opportunities for student representatives and volunteer leaders
  • Support the planning and delivery of Student Assemblies, committee meetings, and University Feedback Forums
  • Produce reports, briefing notes, and  You Said, We Did  summaries that demonstrate student impact
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and online resources including Rep Hub webpages
  • Contribute to large-scale events such as Welcome Week and cross-campus team activities
  • Act as a welcoming first point of contact for students, providing a high standard of support and customer service
About You

You're a confident communicator who thrives on building relationships with a wide range of people. You're highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and passionate about student empowerment and democratic participation. Whether you're facilitating a training session, writing a campaign post, or supporting a student through the election process, you bring energy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

Why

Join Us

This is a role with real scope. At Union, we're ambitious and dedicated to putting students first. As we grow our student voice provision on campus in Peterborough, you'll have a genuine opportunity to shape what student representation and leadership looks like on campus. You'll develop student leaders to their full potential, build meaningful democratic processes, and create an experience that empowers students long after they graduate.

The closing date is Sunday 12th July at 23:59. In-person panel interviews will be held in Peterborough on 20th and 22nd July.
