Position
Inclusion and Alternative Provision Coordinator – starting September 2026 at Ormiston Bushfield Academy. The role involves organising and coordinating alternative provision across the Academy, and supporting the Academy’s attendance function where required.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate alternative provision arrangements for students who cannot attend mainstream schooling.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure placements meet student needs and statutory requirements.
- Conduct quality‑assurance visits to alternative provision providers to assess suitability and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance in accordance with Academy policies.
- Adapt and develop the alternative provision strategy as the Academy’s needs evolve.
- High level of IT competence, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to embrace change.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload independently.
- Ability to relate well to young people and build constructive relationships.
- Flexibility in approach to meet the requirements of the post.
Monday to Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. School term time plus the designated one‑week holiday, equating to 39 working weeks per year.
