Working at Peterborough, you will lead and coordinate the Student Support Advisor team while acting as a central point of guidance and support for students, academic staff and wider stakeholders across both campuses. We offer flexibility in how your hours are worked across the week. You can choose to work four full days or spread your hours over five days, depending on what works best for you.
About the Role In this varied and impactful role, the HE Student Coordinator will:
Lead and support the Student Support Advisor team across Peterborough and Stamford Provide impartial advice and guidance to HE students on welfare, academic processes, student finance and support services Monitor attendance, retention and student engagement, identifying and supporting students at risk Coordinate interventions and support plans to improve student outcomes and satisfaction Work closely with academic teams, Additional Learning Support and external agencies to ensure students receive appropriate support Support compliance with Office for Students (OfS) requirements, awarding body regulations and institutional policies Coordinate wellbeing initiatives, hardship support and student engagement activities Produce reports and contribute to committees focused on student achievement and experience Maintain accurate student records and ensure confidentiality at all times About You We are looking for someone who is highly organised, approachable and passionate about supporting students in Higher Education.
Our next HE Student Coordinator will ideally have:
Experience with in a student support, education or customer-focused environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience coordinating teams or services The ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence working with data, systems and reporting processes An understanding of student wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusivity
